Signs for Your Kind of Business

Restaurants, shops, clinics and offices each need a different set of business signs, and so do the centers they rent in. Pick yours to see what usually fits, or send a photo and we'll suggest options for your building.

Why your kind of business changes the sign

Three things change from one business to the next:

  1. When people look for you. A restaurant open until 11 needs a lit sign. An office that closes at 5 often doesn't.
  2. What they need to read. A menu and hours on the glass, a suite number in the lobby, a parking arrow at the curb.
  3. Who approves it. In a shopping center, the landlord's sign criteria come first. Then the city reviews the sign.

Get those three right and the sign type mostly picks itself.

Signs by kind of business

Shops, salons and offices usually start with the sign over the door or behind the front desk. Restaurants, clinics and whole properties need a wider set, from menu boards to tenant panels.

Sign-type photos are illustrations, not our projects. The photo tagged “Our shop” is a real photo of our Sun Valley shop.

What each kind of business usually needs

A starting point, not a rule. Your building, your hours and your landlord decide the final set.
