One look on every vehicle

Fleet Graphics for Business Vehicles in Los Angeles

Fleet graphics put the same logo, colors and phone number on every vehicle you run, so people across Los Angeles know your van on the 5 and your truck in their driveway. We design one layout for your fleet, fit it to each make and model, then print and cut every piece of vinyl at our shop in Sun Valley.

Commercial fleet graphics

What are fleet graphics?

Fleet graphics are the graphics on a company's vehicles, done to one standard: the same logo, colors, contact details and placement on every van, truck and car, adjusted to fit each body. They can be as simple as cut vinyl door lettering or as big as full fleet vehicle wraps.

What makes them commercial fleet graphics rather than one-off lettering is the system behind them: a master layout, a template for each model and the approved files. The vehicle you add next year matches the ones on the road today.

A good fit for

  • Contractors running a mix of vans and pickups
  • Delivery and courier fleets
  • Property management and maintenance crews
  • Franchises and multi-location brands
  • Companies that add vehicles every year

Mockup first

See the layout on your own vehicles before anything is printed

A logo that sits well on a box truck can land on a door handle on a minivan. Fleet graphics design starts from photos of your own vehicles, one of each model. The first mockup and one round of changes are free for business-sign requests, per location. Extra rounds are billed.

Fleet van wraps

Vans carry most fleets. Each body gets its own template

In most service fleets, vans do the advertising. Their cargo sides are big, flat and at eye level, so fleet van wraps are where a layout earns the most.

Vans also differ more than they look. Roof height, wheelbase, side windows and the sliding door change the space a design can use, even within one model. A low-roof and a high-roof van of the same make get separate templates, and both still read as the same company.

How fleet vehicle graphics are built

Four parts decide whether a fleet reads as one company or as five.
  • A master layout

One design sets the logo size, the colors, the phone and website, and the order people read them in. Sized to read from the next lane, simple enough to take in at a red light.
  • A template for each model

Every make, model, roof height and wheelbase gets its own template. Logos stay clear of door handles, fuel doors, body lines and seams, and sit in the same spot relative to the doors on every vehicle.
  • Vinyl that suits the job

Cut vinyl for lettering and numbers. Printed vinyl with a clear laminate for full-color logos. Conformable wrap film where graphics have to follow curves and recesses.
  • Numbers in the same place

Unit numbers, plus any CA number, USDOT number or contractor license number a vehicle has to show, go in the same spot on every vehicle, so drivers and inspectors find them.

Coverage options for fleet graphics

Most fleets mix two or three of these, often different ones for vans and pickups. Any of them can be shown in your mockup.

Which coverage fits each vehicle in the fleet?

It comes down to how much of each vehicle should carry the brand, how long you keep your vehicles and whether they all come in the same color.

Fleet vinyl printed and cut on Lankershim

Fleet layouts are drawn, and the vinyl is printed and cut, at Angels Print, 8511 Lankershim Blvd in Sun Valley. Design and production sit in one building, so the file you approve is the file that gets printed, and the next order prints from the same file.

Looking for a fleet graphics company near you in the San Fernando Valley? Bring your logo and brand colors to the shop and talk through the layout in person. Your quote says who applies the graphics and where. We're open daily, 7 AM to 10 PM.

Keeping a fleet consistent as it grows

Fleet graphics aren't a one-time order. Vehicles get added, replaced, damaged and sold, and the graphics have to keep up.
  • Adding a vehicle

Send the year, make and model. If we've fitted that model for you before, the approved file prints again. If not, the master layout is fitted to the new body.
  • A new model joins

A pickup next to cargo vans, or a high-roof van next to a low one. The logo keeps its size and reading order; only the template changes.
  • A damaged panel

A scraped door or a replaced bumper doesn't mean a new set. One door or one panel can be reprinted from the same file.
  • Leased vehicles

Read the lease for rules on graphics and their removal before you order. Cut lettering leaves the least to take off at lease end, and car magnets suit vehicles that can't take vinyl at all.
    Car magnets at angelsprint.com
  • Rollout around downtime

Tell us when each vehicle can be off the road. The rollout can go a few vehicles at a time, so the rest of the fleet keeps working.
  • Used vehicles with old graphics

Bought vans that still carry another company's lettering? The old vinyl and adhesive come off before new graphics go on. Send close-ups so the quote counts the removal.

California rules note

What some work vehicles must show in California

Required markings belong in the fleet template, so they land in the same spot on every unit. Four California rules come up most:

  • Company name. Vehicles that carry property or passengers for hire, trucks with three or more axles, and commercial motor vehicles, such as a truck with two or more axles over 10,000 lb gross vehicle weight rating, show the operator's name or trademark on both sides (Vehicle Code 27900; definition in 34601).
  • CA number. Carriers that need one show it on both sides, in sharp contrast and legible from 50 ft in daylight, unless the vehicle shows a valid USDOT number (Vehicle Code 34507.5).
  • Contractor license. On commercially registered vehicles, C-36 plumbing, C-45 sign and C-57 well-drilling contractors show their name, permanent business address and license number on each side, at least 1½ inches high (Business and Professions Code 7029.5). Other licensed contractors, electrical (C-10) and HVAC (C-20) included, show their business name and license number where it's clearly visible, in 72-point type or at least ¾ inch high and wide (7029.6).
  • Name changes. After a company closes, changes its name or changes its operating authority, old names and identifiers on the vehicles above come off or get covered within 60 days (Vehicle Code 27900).

Glass: the windshield stays clear except a 7-inch square in the lower corner farthest from the driver and a 5-inch square in the lower corner nearest the driver, and nothing goes on the front side windows. Side windows behind the driver are fine, and the rear window too if the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides (Vehicle Code 26708).

Information, not legal advice or an approval. Tell us which numbers each vehicle carries. Check carrier numbers with the CHP and license lettering with the CSLB.

What fleet graphics usually cost

Vehicle fleet graphics are quoted vehicle by vehicle, and the biggest lever is how much of each vehicle you cover. Design is the exception: the master layout is drawn once and each model's template is reused, so that cost is spread across the fleet.

We don't show a fleet price range. Every fleet is a different mix of models and coverage, and we know of no independent national figure for that mix. National figures for a single vehicle wrap, a reference and not our price, are in our vehicle wraps cost guide.

Ways to spend less:

  • Let the paint color be the background instead of covering it.
  • Put the name and phone in cut vinyl, and print only the logo.
  • Keep one layout per model, with no one-off versions.
  • When you add vehicles, pick a model you already run: its template is done.

Fleet graphics questions

Still deciding? Call (818) 806-9006 or text a photo and ask.

What's the difference between fleet graphics and a vehicle wrap?
A wrap is one kind of coverage: printed film over the body. Fleet graphics are the standard that runs across all your vehicles, whatever the coverage. Many fleets put door lettering on pickups and partial wraps on vans, with one logo, one set of colors and one layout system.
Can graphics match across different vehicle models?
Yes. That's what the templates are for. Logo size, reading order and colors stay the same, and only the placement is fitted to each body, so a pickup and a high-roof van still read as one company. Your mockup shows each model.
We'll add vehicles later. Will the new ones match?
Send the year, make and model of the new vehicle. If we've already fitted that model for you, the approved file prints again. A new model gets its own template from the master layout. New vinyl next to graphics that have spent a while in the sun can look slightly different, so mention it if a new vehicle will park beside older ones.
Do we have to do the whole fleet at once?
No. Many fleets start with the vehicles customers see most, or put lettering on every vehicle now and wrap the vans later. Because each model has its own template, the vehicles you do later match the first ones. List the order you have in mind, and the quote is split the same way.
Can you work from our brand guidelines?
Yes. Send the brand guide, the logo files and any color references, and the master layout follows them. Cut vinyl comes in a fixed range of colors, so for lettering you pick the closest one in your mockup. A logo that needs an exact color blend is printed instead.
We're changing our company name. What happens to the old graphics?
On vehicles that must show a company name, California gives 60 days from the change to remove or cover the old name and identifiers (Vehicle Code 27900; see the California rules note). Plan the removal into the new graphics: the old vinyl and adhesive come off first, and the quote counts it. Information, not legal advice.
