The raised UV panel, up close

From across the room the panel reads like a painting. Up close, the sea, the white walls and the domes have a texture you can feel. That's raised UV: the printer lays UV ink down in layers, so parts of the image stand up from the surface. You get 3D wall graphics without carving or plaster.

A printed wall mural, about 15 ft wide

This mural is 452 × 232 cm, about 14.8 × 7.6 ft, printed in our shop. A carpet pattern runs down the left side and opens into vineyards, cypress trees, a stone church and snowy mountains, with grapes and pomegranates framing the scene.

Large format wall graphics have to work at two distances: across the room and right up close. At this size a blurry file shows every flaw, so a low-resolution logo is rebuilt as clean vector art instead of being stretched.

How to judge a sign shop's work

Four checks that work on any portfolio, ours included.

Real photo or rendering?

A mockup shows size and placement before anything is built. That's its job. It can't show build quality, so ask which pictures are real jobs. On this site every illustration is tagged, and this page has none.
Look up close

Edges, corners and texture tell you more than a wide shot from the street. That's why the raised UV panel is shown close enough to see the ink.
Check the size

A design that works at 2 ft can fall apart at 15 ft. Ask for real dimensions. Both finished pieces on this page list their size.
See finishes in person

Gold mirror, brushed metal and painted faces look different in daylight, shop light and street light. Hold samples before you choose.

Are these photos really your work?

Yes. Every photo on this page shows a finished job, a shop sample or equipment at Angels Print, the Sun Valley shop where Angels Signs are designed and built. Other pages use illustrations to show sign types. Those carry an “Illustration” tag and are never presented as our projects.

Why are there no storefront sign photos yet?

Angels Signs is a new sign brand, and this page shows real photos only. Until finished signs are photographed, you can hold letter faces and finishes at the shop, and a mockup shows your sign on a photo of your own building before anything is made.

Can I see samples before I order?

Yes. 3D letter samples and raised UV samples are at the shop at 8511 Lankershim Blvd in Sun Valley, in the San Fernando Valley, open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM. Call ahead so the right person is there, and ask which samples are on hand.

Can you make a raised UV wall like the one above?

Yes, with your artwork or a scene designed with you. Send a straight-on photo of the wall and rough measurements. Raised UV usually costs more than a flat print the same size, because the ink goes down in layers. Ask for both and you get a price for each.

Who installs wall graphics and signs?

A licensed sign-contractor partner. Your quote lists the installer's CSLB license number. We design the piece, make it in our shop and coordinate the install date with you.

Will my project be shown here?

Only with your OK. A finished job goes on this page only with its owner's permission, and business names stay off unless the owner wants them shown.
